The cloud can be broken into 3 main segments, public, private & hybrid. Private clouds are compute and / or storage related, behind your own firewall at your location, and most are based on either Object Storage, VMware or OpenStack. Public cloud leaders include Amazon, Google and Microsoft’s Azure. These differing solutions play upon the differences between levels of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offered. Hybrid clouds are some combination of public & private clouds that allow you to have onsite solutions while offloading some of your computing or storage requirements to outside resources that can be bought as a service. We also support MSP (managed service provider) efforts by installing and managing these installations at either the customer’s location or at our partnered bare metal cloud site, or BOTH.
Red Hat’s hybrid dashboard allows you to direct and manage which portions of your environment reside on your private cloud while directing and managing portions to the public cloud also. Building on Red Hat also gives you the benefit of using the leading, production file system as the basis for your entire structure. We can create and manage both IaaS (Infrastructure as a service) and PaaS (platform as a service), either on bare metal cloud, your location or on the public cloud. The difference between IaaS & PaaS is the difference between you being responsible for the OS, networking, et all… or just loading your applications (as VMs) into an existing, secure, sustainable environment managed by you or us. Our relationship as an authorized Red Hat partner gives us the best production distribution of OpenStack AND the best “hybrid” dashboard to manage your hybrid environment. Our authorized partnerships with Amazon, Microsoft’s Azure and our own in-house engineering team allow us to move portions of your infrastructure to most appropriate public cloud available. Our XaaS (as a Service) portfolio includes packages that do email archiving to the cloud, multi factor web access authentication and the latest in anti virus protection by one of the highest rated competitors.
Many cloud services are less expensive replacements for your future server purchases.VMware, Microsoft & OpenStack (all of which we are an authorized partner) environments can be delivered as a Service or as your own private cloud (behind your own firewall) while XaaS (X=anything as a Service) services like DR, security, storage, Computing, archiving, etc.. can be bought / rented as an OPEX solution, residing remotely from your location.
Our cloud engineers can discuss with you the level of differing “as a Service” services available vs. your specific requirements and help you move them to the most appropriate cloud venue. We support all of these with in house engineering teams and in the local open source / user group community. We also support MSP (managed service provider) efforts by installing and managing these installations at either the customer’s location or at our partnered bare metal cloud site, or BOTH.
